Betsafe Poker yesterday launched a Microgaming Poker client known as Betsafe Poker Black. As Betsafe are owned by Betsson this very likely means that their parent company will be following suit and Betsson will soon be launching a Microgaming Network Poker Client.
The Betsafe Poker Black and Betsafe Poker Red offering is similar in idea to other Ongame skins who have been offering their players Entraction/IGT for years, which is or was a rakeback network. Players and skins were able to take advantage of one network with high player liquidity and the rakeback and quick software of the other. Betsafe Poker Black allows them to offer legal rakeback deals even if it is on the Microgaming Poker Network that has stagnated and then declined in recent years.
With all the events happening or not happening with the Ongame Network will Betsson continue to offer both Ongame and Microgaming or will Betsson eventually make the complete migration to Microgaming once bwin and other Ongame skins leave during the Autuman Migration to iPoker and/or other networks?
Good and bad news for the Microgaming Poker Network
It is good and bad news for the Microgaming Network as Betsafe are one of those skins suspected of being very keen on offering its players very, very, very high rakeback deals, which with Ongame not allowing rakeback deals made recent events interesting. If it had not been for Betsafe being owned by Betsson then they would never have been able to enter the then hallowed grounds of Ongame2.
But when Betsson launch their Betsson Microgaming skin then the Microgaming Network will see a further and much needed rise in player liquidity.
