Big Game: Big calls, folds and mistakes

There has been plenty of action, hands and over half a million euros on the table at some points of the Big Game. And with the game and the night wearing on there are starting to be some big calls, big folds and big mistakes.

Phil Laak is still the highest winner but has gone “down” to 116,600 from a high of over 150,000. He also mucked a 60,000 winning hand when his A6 beat Andy Moseley’s AK when a 6 came on the turn and the board showed 2 10 2 6 J. Phil Laak has been playing 30+ hours straight so that is only a 2k per hour mistake.

As it is a cash game Phil Laak did not have to turn over his pocket cards and having made a loose call earlier in the evening and perhaps not wanting to give the other players on the table at the table, he refused to turn them over. If Laak had turned them over then the Dealer would have noticed he had won the hand!

Earlier in the evening Tony G did a 5,000 call with Queen high!

And the actual fold or mistake of the night was Alec Torelli (AJ) getting Scott Seiver to fold his pocket Kings to an all in re-raise on a 2 J 4 flop!
