So, we’ve got the oblligatory Little Britain ‘I’m A Lady’ clip done and can now move on to the serious matter of blokes taking part in a females only event.
Still not sure how minors can be stopped from playing at all, non seniors can be prevented from playing the fogies event and how no Tom, Dick or Harry can just stroll up and play the casino staff tournament but somehow a male can still pitch up and take part with no issues at all.
Doesn’t every casino or poker room reserve the right to refuse entry to whoever they choose? We’re still mystified as to how men can take part in the womens’ event, especially when they don’t even go to the kind of trouble that the lovely Emily clearly has in the video.
Anyway, Yen Dang will probably not be too fussed having been the real woman to have taken the tournament down, winning the bracelet and $170,000, but maybe the bigger news for women is happening elsewhere right now.
The considerable success of Vanessa Selbst in picking up her 2nd bracelet this week and the continued excellence of Vicky Coren, looking to add her first bracelet to her EPT title right now, may have finally made the concept of a female only tournament redundant, especially when you factor in Allyn Shulma’s victory in the seniors’ event.
