FTP2 affiliates – today pokerQ4 reveals information on the new Full Tilt Poker’s ideas for poker affiliates. We were asked to ‘delay’ releasing our Full Tilt Poker Week articles until this week and amazingly enough the whole Full Tilt Poker reopening discussion has exploded. With news of New Full Tilt companies being incorporated in Ireland and Malta, fulltiltpoker.eu having activity and the FTP subsidiary company Orinic applying for a AGCC Licence. Not to mention the news that Pocket Kings are urgently looking for staff.
The ideas discussed with us and here by our Poker Consultants are game changing for the poker affiliate industry. The other plans during the FTP2 Week have certainly been seen and reviewed by Full Tilt, including the results of the discussions and how the more knowledgeable poker players have reacted. Will these influence their ideas?
No more FTP affiliates?2>
The new Full Tilt Poker affiliate policy will be that they have no new affiliates and no poker site affiliates at all. In a dramatic but logical move – proved by the interest in the relaunch of FTP2 this week on forums, poker news sites and pokerQ4 – Full Tilt poker will be stopping affiliates from promoting them. Our Poker Consultants believe FTP2 however have good alternatives to replace poker affiliates, including using you to promote them.
The good news for Full Tilt’s affiliates owed a lot of money ($100,000′s in some cases for the largest ones) is that affiliates will be paid their money due to them. The bad news is that FTP will tell them thanks but no thanks.
How can a new Full Tilt implement the whole plan?
FTP2 Holding affiliates to ransom
FTP2 will be a new company with a new holding company … a random example would be something like a company set up and called Full Tilt Holding Limited. The old affiliate deals will not count or if they legally still do (not fully confirmed yet as things are still liquid) then there are easy ways around it.
The relaunch of Full Tilt Poker could literally, physically and legally be relaunched as Full Tilt 2. All players will be transferred or asked to sign up with the the all new FTP2. But not through an affiliate.
If you think Full Tilt can not get away with it then there are plenty of other ways to implement it and relative previous examples. PartyPoker2 and Empire Poker … Networks ring fencing sites (how about ring fencing affiliates players?) etc. Affiliates are going to find it hard to prove their worth when a) everyone interested in poker knows who FTP are and b) massive interest in anything FTP has been shown whenever any news is revealed. Although this news has often been bad even Abolute Poker and Ultimate Bet received a ton of new registrations when the Super User scandal report was shown on TV.
Affiliate YOUR FullTilt2?
So although their could be no more old style affiliates Full Tilt will be encouraging and paying you to be their affiliate and sign up other players. Money saved through the no more affiliates plan will be used to pay you for this.
Instead of a few hundred main sites and a few 1000 sites including the poker affiliate peasant sites, they could potentially have millions of Full Tilt affiliates who actually play on the site.
All sites are helped to grow through affiliates but it is the site itself that is the selling point to players. This recruitment model has shown a modicum of success through the new start up – High Pulse Poker – where players increase their earnings by recruiting as many friends as they can. They even allow the very simple creation of bespoke website banners to help facilitate sign ups and conversions.
Your Full Tilt roots are showing
To help increase grass roots poker and brand awareness FTP2 will be taking a regional approach – advertising locally and investing in grass roots poker within each defined region. Using the money that the affiliates would have raped from them in the future Full Tilt will be able to re invest in themselves and not invest in affiliates bank accounts.
Also, as part of their new promotions plans which we will go into on Monday, there will be massive social media campaigns to tell the world that Full Tilt are back and open for business. The cash that would have lined parasitic affiliate pockets will instead end up in the bankrolls of loyal and recruiting players.
