Phil Ivey is back again playing poker in Macau!

Phil Ivey is back again playing poker and has not surprisingly chose the APPT Macau as the first step out of the Fult Tilt Poker closet.

The news that Phil Ivey is back and playing poker again is a real boost to the poker world and especially the poker news sites and forums. Nothing creates as much interest as anything to do with Phil Ivey. Except photos or lists of the “Top 5 hottest poker babes”.

Phil Ivey kept to his promise and did not play the WSOP. If this was to stand up as the good guy against the Full Tilt fiasco or for his own PR and safety is something that every person has a different opinion on.

Now that Full Tilt Poker look to be in the end game and both American and the rest of the world poker players appear very likely to get paid something, Phil Ivey has decided now is the time to come back playing poker again.

It also helps that it is Macau and Macaus’s Big Game where literally untold riches can await poker brightest superstars.

The prodigal poker son returns – Phil Ivey is back

Macau is the one place where you would have banked on Phil Ivey returning like the prodigal poker son. Macau’s Big Game is perhaps bigger than the Las Vegas Big Game. The APPT Macau will not be a field full of angry and pissed off Full Tilt Poker players. The western and poker media presence at the APPT Macau is not so large as at European and American events. So it is the perfect recipe for Phil Ivey to make his comeback.

Rumours of Phil Ivey playing poker in Macau have been doing the rounds for a few days but they were confirmed when Phil Ivey started playing on day 1A of the APPT Macu. At the end of day 1A Phil Ivey had a stack of just over 50,000. Phil Ivey will be back playing poker again on Friday for Day 2 of the APPT Macau.

And in between times will he be doing a spot of sight seeing or perhaps he may just take a seat at the biggest cash game in the world – the Macau Big Game.

Of course the question has been, since he said he would not play the WSOP and not appeared anywhere else, where has Phil Ivey been playing live or online poker since then?

Another poker rumour has been is Phil Ivey broke? The next few days and weeks will help to deny or confirm this rumour but as he is in Macau the answer looks to be that Phil Ivey is not broke.
