Jonathan Duhamel Court Case bail latest!
Today should see the decision on the bail of the suspects in the Jonathan Duhamel house invasion (robbery). The Judge delayed bail last week partly due to the severe beatings that Jonathan Duhamel took and also due to the behaviour of one of the accused when he answered various questions. Bright lads all round as they were not disguised when they did the house invasion and were caught wearing Jonathan Duhamel inscribed Rolex.
UPDATE
The bail or denied bail decisions on the Jonathan Duhamel robbery Court Case have been made by the Judge.
Bianca Rojas-Latraverse had presumably met Jonathan Duhamel playing poker, as she was a poker pro at the Montreal Casino and in Kahnawake. And who can blame Jonathan Duhamel.
The Judge said of the house invasion, severe beating of Jonathan Duhamel and Bianca Rojas-Latraverse
The crime was heinous, planned, structured and committed in cold blood.
She took advantage of her relationship Jonathan Duhamel … to prepare her plan. Jonathan Duhamel had to be home and she knew when he’d be there. As the conspirator, she has to take responsibility for her actions.
Anthony Bourqu, who had no previous convictions, was released on $5,000 bail but with the conditions including he has to live with his Dad and had a curfew of 10 pm to 5 am. No matter what the crime that has to be a bit harsh.
John Clark the other accused in the Jonathan Duhamel Court Case was denied bail due to his criminal history and how he answered questions during the previous Court Case proceedings.
The Court Case will resume 21st February 2012.
USA – home game rakes in $50,000 per year!
An illegal home game in Abingdon made its operators an estimated $50,000 a year. Oh, and also made them a possible 6 year jail sentance.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, it was not unusual for the pot to exceed $10,000 during all-day poker games. A third illegal business being investigated in a “circuit” of high-stakes gambling establishments was operated in Washington County but those details haven’t yet been released.
-EV?
Some chap robs one poker room for $2,000 and then goes and loses it in another poker room. Oh, and also loses 3 years of his life as he is jailed. Not the best ROI.
Can you spot the tell?
In the USA again where a man shoots another man who grabbed his chips. The murderer just happened to have a gun sitting on the table.
Stanley told police he was inside the home when the shooting happened and had a fully loaded, Taurus 454 Raging Bull handgun that he left on a table where a card game was taking place. Stanley said Felix grabbed some of his poker chips so he picked up the gun, pointed it at Felix and discharged a bullet. A witness corroborated Stanley’s account.
Police officer gives a bad beat
Perhaps our favourite story involves a group of men playing poker when the Policeman playing turned violent when they had an argument over … who would put the bottle of whiskey back in the fridge!
The victim told officers that he was playing poker and drinking with some friends when 31-year-old Dan Tran and the victim began to argue about who should put a bottle of whiskey back in the refrigerator.
That’s when the report says Tran placed the man in a choke hold and hit him in the head with a bottle of Heineken beer multiple times.
