The Rise and Fall of Stu Ungar is a poker documentary about perhaps the greatest pre Moneymaker poker tournament players. Stu Ungar appears to have been one of the original people to work out that real aggression could overcome anyone, especially the old school poker players.
Stu Ungar was also an amazing player and reader of card game players, perhaps the best Gin Rummy player who has ever lived. But Stu Ungar’s poker highs – he won 3 WSOP Main Events – were nearly as high as his drug taking and addiction. Stu Ungar’s poker lows were also as low as his drug addiction to cocaine and caused by it.
The Rise and Fall of Stu Ungar poker documentary will introduce poker players to the legend of Stu Ungar in a quick way. The Rise and Fall of Stu Ungar has interviews with famous poker players like Doyle Brunson and Stu Ungar’s family. It also has tape recordings of sessions made by Stu Ungar for a book on his life.
The Rise and Fall of Stu Ungar poker documentary has a lot of graphics and images that are repeated as there is not that much film of Stu Ungar. He was a poker superstar when poker was not accepted in the main stream media and they did not have hole card camera’s back then, so watching poker was a bit boring for the common man on his TV.
The Rise and Fall of Stu Ungar poker documentary could have been shorter and sharper and it is a good poker documentary on his life. A better poker documentary on the life of Stu Ungar could and should be made but soon as some of the poker players who really knew him may not be around that long. “Doyle Brunson dead” is unfortunately a large poker search term but he will not be around for ever to give his honest opinion on the poker life and the Rise and Fall of Stu Ungar
